BDR

I swung by BDR last night on my way home from work.  The water is down a good 5+ feet right now. Not a bad time to mark boulders, rock piles, trees etc for next year.

Re: BDR

I did that saturday.  It is really low. i went out to the left, was 20-30 feet off shore, and my trolling motor was hitting bottom.

Re: BDR

How deep is the water near the dam? Is that the deepest part in BDR?

Re: BDR

I believe it is 25 ft deep near the center of the dam. I have yet to check out area around the diving platform. wink It seems every time I make it out towards the dam, there are folks jumping from the platform. I still recall sometime early summer hearing a girl scream " I lost my top, I can't find my top". Hahahahahaa...  I simply paddled in the opposite direction to give her privacy.

Re: BDR

The deepest parts are 40-45ft when it's full.

Re: BDR

Where is the old bridge underwater?  I have yet to be able to find it, any pilings, or remnants of anything that looks like a bridge

Re: BDR

ahh, ok straight across from the put-in near the church.  Now that I look at the map and see a road leading up to the edge of the water on both sides, it seems obvious.

Re: BDR

Since the water is so low, I was able to see that there are a ton of big rocks and such that look like a great place for bass homes to be built right near the B in Brambleton on this map. That whole lil shelf there is covered in massive bolders, and smaller piles of rocks.

Big flat there and a rock wall that extends out from that creek for a very long way.  I've caught a lot of bass from there on top water.

Re: BDR

That's where the big perch are as I found out a few days ago.  All the bass were small.  But along the dropoff I was marking what looked like some schools of good size fish.
