Ashburn Report - 03/21/10

Fish Ashburn Lake today and saw Ernie, I mean, a professional cyclist, fly by me on Ashburn Village Boulevard. I chunked and wound a spinner bait for about 1.5 hours and ended up with a fat little punk. I figured the wind would be my friend with a spinner bait and stained water, but no so much today. Oh well...too nice a day not to be outside.

79 bass and NONE were keepers?!?! Sounds like a bait or location change might be in order!

The fish in Pavilion lock up and school heavily in early spring during the first warming trend and ahead of the spawn. That is not an unlikely total with them all being small. But I agree with Dan, while it is fun, you gotta go big or go home! lol
