Carl, Mo, and I hit the Occoquan yesterday in an attempt to replicate the Great Yellow Perch Harvest. We fished from about 10am-1:30pm. We caught plenty of perch but again, most were small sized males. The exception was one 12.25" female. Again, water hovered within a few degrees above 40 and the fish seemed to be in 21-25ft of water. This week the key to finding the perch has been to find anywhere with that depth and start jigging. Carl wrapped up the day with a nice striper that fought like a freight train. I don't know how many we ended up keeping, probably around 20-30 with easily that many thrown back as well. Hopefully more females will come in soon so Carl can catch his 14" to mount.

I'm starting to notice that most pictures of Mo look eerily similar!
The biggest one we've caught so far this year:

Dan's fish was a good size. The deal is that if I catch a fish over 13.5, carl will mount it and if carl catchs a 13.5, carl will mount it. Ha Ha . Another great day fishing with great friends.
