6-28-06, the BITE before the storm!

When I got home tonight, the sky was threatening to the point that it looked like there would be no fishing! But it lightened up for a bit and I was able to get some time in at Cedar Lake.

I fished from 6 PM until 7 PM with the 5wt fly rod tonight and the blue gills were chompin'. I have never seen anything like it! Bugs, top water...you name it.....caught 25 in an hour easy....some big ones too! There just might be something to the bite before the storm!

Now I have to start to get the bass to do that. I've been catching a few but not as often as I would like on the fly!!

Now it's raining buckets just like it has been doing since last Thursday! Anyone seen Noah?
