BRHS 2009 Fall Tournament results

This year, we have 14 students fishing in the tourney. eight are form Broad Run, three from Briar Woods and two from Stone Bridge.

We had quite a few adult volunteers which included Charlie and Carol Hill, Dan Stroup Dominion Dan) , Patrick Cosgriff (CozUF2001), Tom Michaelian (bassman) and Rob (flippin4it). Many thanks to them  for their help!

After a quick rules update, the fishermen scattered and within 5 minutes we heard, "fish on"! Let the exitement begin!

In plain view of the weigh in station, we witnessed Dustin hook and land a big fish. From the deck, it looked like a 3.5 pounder but as we got close, we found it to be a 5 pound fatso (20.5").

This is Dustin's biggest fish ever...what a great time to catch it!

Results!!

1st Place- Ryan Johnston(Senior) from Broad Run High School - 5 fish limit, 65 1/2 inches

2nd Place- Pete Kenny(Sophomore) from Stone Bridge High School - 5 fish limit, 59 inches

3rd Place- Greg Revitsky(Junior) from Stone Bridge High School - 5 fish limit, 53 1/2 inches

Lunker Fish- Dustin Hayes(Freshman) from Broad Run High School - Lunker fish was 20 1/2 inches

Thanks to all of the adult volunteers!!

I had a great time. Fishing was tough today but those guys are DEDICATED. Anytime I can come to such an event, I'll be happy to be there.

Wow! What a day.....The guys really impressed me today. All of them battled it out to the bitter end, pun intended. It was a tough day all around. It was great to see the VanDams of tommorow!

While serving as the emcee, I also did a little fishing and the only fish of note was this YELLOW PERCH!
