Chesapeake Bay bull red!

Most of you likely don't remember me but I moved away from VA for 8 years and now we are back! Down south in Richmond this time. This past weekend I was given the blessing from the wife to fish all weekend and I wanted to try the bay for the first time in my boat. Goal was to catch a bull red and we did! Lost two others that will haunt me forever! Started the day catching a few nice flounder then headed out to chase some bulls! Fun day out there.

Re: Chesapeake Bay bull red!

Of course!  Love my boat. You do not see them out east very often at all. I originally bought it to chase steelhead in rivers and salmon in Lake Michigan. It runs shallow and is an indestructible tank! It's called a Thunder Jet explorer. It has a full enclosure for trolling or waiting on those cold days and is super light since it is aluminum. The dash is very far forward which gives a lot of fishing room in the back of the boat. It won't win any beauty contests but I prefer utility!

Yup!! I keep it on the lower James but definitely plan on trailering it to the upper James from time to time.
