Then I thought a got got snagged..but it moved!

Never felt the bite but got a good hook set on one of my 1st home made flies! Landing it took some time as she had a few bursts of energy. Nice bend of the rod!

The tippet was 3 or 4lb line.

Me thinks she was spawned out...

Re: May

Went out for about an hour in search of the elusive blue gill lol using my 4wt.

The 1st 8 fish I caught were small bass, all less than 10"!   hmm

Finally, after moving, I caught 2 small green sunfish. I guess that counts a they do have some blue on their gills.

Then it was 2 crappie like this one.

And finally, the elusive BG!

Re: May

This one is for Khahn!

I took out a L rod using 1/16th oz jigs in search of some bass or crappie.

Caught one bass.

Then, I saw a swirl and made a cast to it. The freight train took off but I was able to get it to shore.

It seems tat the carp had a crankbait and line around its back part. I actually snagged the line.

The carp tired easily and looked hurt. I was trying to get the crankbait and line out but I forgot to open my spool. It took off and broke me off.
