So I have about 20 hollow body frogs in my arsenal. Most have deteriorated to a sticky gooey mess. Those little rubber legs melt and make a mess in my tackle box. So I watched a video on how to replace them. They cost too much to replace so I wanted to make them look good.

First part just skip thru unless you like seeing others catch fish.
Next step order some living rubber directly from company. 45 feet in 3 colors 27 bucks.
Did 14 frogs this morning and two mice. Man they look good.
Need to go fishing..just casting in the yard gets old..

Cool vid! I fixed a couple of mine a while back using the same basic method except no knot. But that's because I didn't think of it.
The only thing that's keeping me sane are my hikes in the woods and fiddling with my baits and gear on occasion.

Very cool! I bet you could rig something up with some wiggly worm tails as legs too!

The Teckle sprinker frog has a spinning splashing tail on it. This lure was so hot 4 years ago that they sold on ebay for 100 bucks each.
Now they are regular price.

Caught a bunch on the other frog also. The Honker....
Check out this crazy movement.

$100 for a lure? It's not hand painted or anything. No thanks....no guarantees of catching fish.

I was given the opportunity to go through a huge box of Japanese jerk baits and take what I want. Only grabbed a couple, but one of them was a Megabass that someone famous won a big $$ tournament on. Someone offered me $160 for it and I couldn't take their cash fast enough
I have another bait that I bought it for $20 at a flea market when I just got out of high school. It sat in my basement for over 30 years until I saw the bait on auction. It sold at auction for over $800. I'm holding onto it for sentimental reasons - but if the price goes up I could be tempted?

I have a bunch of lures I feel are simply incredible pieces of art. I don't think I'd ever fish with them (the same with many flies that I have). So I can understand the appreciation for them down the road.

I have sooooo many flies that I will never fish. Just got too many. I started tying last year and then realized I really don't need any. I'm actually happy when I lose one.

Great score!
My Rico story is I bought a dozen of them for Christmas presents for clients and expensed them. Got 4 for myself and the rest went to happy clients
