8-4 LKA dock fires and striper fishing

Got on the water around 5 am and headed up to Stubbs Bridge in the dark to find some stripers.  Noticed a lot of debris in the water as I approached the bridge.  Thought the debris was a bit unusual since it had not rained.  It was still dark, couldn't see much, and motored up past bridge through more junk in the water. Fished Plentiful Creek area where I found some fish.  Ended up with 1 keeper (22") and 3 throwbacks.

The bite stopped by 7 am and I headed back.  When I got to the bridge, this is what I saw........

At least 2 of the docks (maybe 3?) in the cove just above Stubbs Bridge were burned down.  The guy standing there drinking coffee said no one was hurt.   Battery charger malfunction is suspected as the cause.  Same property as the big green slide.

Back in May of '08, this was the scene near the splits...south side of the lake.
