Yesterday I fished a Potomac trib in my kayak for the first time. I've fished it a few times in the past during NHBA tournaments. Lots of other kayaks were launching and the lot was almost full when I left. I effortlessly motored past all of them at half throttle and got where I was going in probably 1.5 hours less time than it would've taken to paddle. It wasn't until 8:24 that I finally hooked up and it was a nice 3lber.
Eight minutes later in the same area I got my second and final fish. I was really pleased with the 2 for 2 frog hook ups. I'd say it was slow day though. Only saw one other guy catch a fish.
I was on the road out of there by 11am. It was getting hot.
