Greg and I hit the "O" again today but earlier this morning, I got a call that the VDGIF boys were going to be out shocking fish at mid morning. It's always cool to see the process!
Anyway, things started out slow but we caught a few. We had 5 in the 1st hour and then it was a pick at 'em game...
... plus the usual smorgasbord.
Then the boys rolled along. It was cool to see the amount of snakeheds that we hiding in teeny coves!
Anyone recognize any of the passengers?
This was a decent one that I wanted to get a picture of but...
I think Greg caught 3 kitties...not quite as good as Bill's 7 yesterday.
Right before quitting time, Greg declares he has another catfish on but when I looked over, there was no roll and the Greg saw a nice big hick...18.25"!
This is now Greg's personal best!!
For the day, we caught 28 hicks, 3 cats (I did not get one as planned), 2 white perch and 2 stripers
We got off the water at 1:15p and joined a couple of friends (Ted Shaw and John Kilday) for lunch at the Cafe.
Beef BBQ
Bacon Cheeseburger
Huge Brat!
Everyone was happy with their choice!
I think things are slowing down at the "O" but we are hoping it's just the 1st wave and there is another one to follow. We will find out Monday!
Now, it's on the the HS Fishing Tourney. I am hearing that we may have a crowd and that we may have 4-5 schools represented. Ribs, deer brats, BBQ sausage and all beef dogs are ready for the grill!

Looks like a great day. That cafe by itself might be worth the trip down there!
Just got back from Costco too, almost picked up just 1 pack of ribs (3 slabs)....but my gut (literally) told me to get 2 packs (6 slabs)!
