Lower Potomac 9/16

I wanted to catch some stripers and the VA Bay season isn't open yet, so I tried a new spot on the Potomac yesterday, about halfway between the 301 bridge and Point Lookout. Spent the morning throwing topwaters, chatterbaits, and some other stuff. Didn't hook anything big but I took home a limit of 21 inchers and released some too. It was really rough out there so I never went more than a mile or so from the launch. Off the water around noon.

The ride home wasn't very fun.

All of the studs broke off my right trailer hub. Pretty sure I broke off a couple of them in a big hole a couple months back but never remembered to check it out.  Boat is fine and it should be an easy repair so hopefully I'll be back on the water soon.
