Bob and I were on the water before 7a (the beltway is always a roll of the dice) and stayed close for the 1st hour or so.
He scored 1st....
...and then 2nd, both on top water!
17" on the Hawg Trough!
I then took my skunk off....
Then we went up river to see if Big Bertha (fish I lost last week) was home. We played around for over an hour and only got a few BG hits. Oh well, it's now a distant memory.
We decided to hit John's island to see if there were any fish that would bite.
We did get some (Bob got the most)!
This hurt one was 17.5" on the Hawg Trough!
Nice LMB hit his white perch spinner!
I think our final tally was Bob with 8 smallies, 1 LMB and 2 long ears.
I had 6 smallies (biggest were 15") and 2 long ears, including this monster that ate a tube!
Nice day out on the water and a few fish cooperated. Lots of bait (small and medium sized) and all of the fish were well fed. And we saw eagles!
The MD DNR stopped by to say hi and check us out and we passed with flying colors. Good to see them out on patrol.
We were on the road by 2:15p.

Glad to see you got into some fish. That is really cool about that big LM. Don't see too many up there anymore. Maybe more habitat with all the downed trees.

Perhaps that LMB got flushed down from somewhere....

It's always fun with Ernie. Compared to the smallies, that LM fought like a dish rag. Still was nice to get her to the boat.

Great report as always.

Nice report! You go fishing so often you'll soon find another Bertha.

This one was not in slack, there was some moving water which is why it surprised us. But as Bob said, no fight in him.
