4-13.....still slow

Went to the Occoquan this morning looking for stripers, but only found a couple dozen hickory shad.  Hit Tippecanoe after I got home and was promptly skunked.  Looks like the HOA has gone to a super low-bid contractor to treat the lakes.  "Chantilly Snow Removal" showed up with a zodiac an trolling motor and proceeded to dump copper sulfate out the back of the zodiac as they trolled about 30 feet out from the shoreline.  Guess we have gone backwards about 25 years in lakes treatment.  Copper sulfate is the most ineffective treatment for algae.  They should be using chelated copper at a minimum.  Guess we'll have to see how the lakes look in July.  here is a pic of them dumping out the back (instead of a "broadcast application).
