Easter Piggy

Fished AV lakes all day today.  Started out slow, but put together two different patterns on two different lakes and ended up crushing fish.  I fished Pavilion in the morning and put together a pretty good jig bite, but nothing huge.  Several solid fish in the 2 to 2.5 pound range.

I stopped to get some lunch and then hit a different lake.  Had to put together a completely different pattern (still on a jig though) but caught some really good fish, including the one pictured below.

I flipped to some isolated cover with enough slack to let me see the line start to tighten just seconds later.  I hit her hard; she yielded little and burst toward cover.  After a short fight, I hauled her in, snapped a few pictures, and let her go.  As you can see, that belly was FULL.

I don't do the whole weigh and measure thing, but I'm usually pretty close with my estimates.  I put it at 6.50 pounds give or take an ounce or two.  Best five today went 15.5 conservatively.
