western Loudoun Farm ponds

the ice is gone and the fish are definitely stirring.

today I threw crappie jig and micro crankbait.

,the bass and crappie in this particular pond we're definitely interested in feeding, but they seemed a little uncoordinated

I saw many rise- following my crappy jeg out of the murky depths
I saw several customers swing and miss.
I had fish on that shook off

in the end I landed about 20. bass ranging from 10 to 14 inches., crappy from 8 to 11, 1 beautifully colored large green sunfish.

I really could not have been much happier on a beautiful spring evening

Re: western Loudoun Farm ponds

Went tonight.

big wind

I have been putting off Re spooling

the picked up 330 yards of stren 4pound monofilament, at Walmart.

who is looking for a minus1 type crankbait

closest thing they had was a KVD 1.5.

I caught 8bass in about an hour.

I missed at least 2

a couple of the bass were pretty decent. 1.75# or so

location and casting angles were everything

Re: western Loudoun Farm ponds

Tonights trip was short

Cold front, wind

I managed 2 12'' bass

Had a few bumps I assume were crappie

Went to truck for coffee and change bait

Sat in tbe warm truck, watching the sun geese and water

Finished coffee and left

More wind than I cared to endure

Wind is like 2x as strong in lovettsville

Feels like little Chicago

Speaking of Chicago....your Cubbies may have something going this year. That kid Bryant might be the real deal.
