Lake Anna survey this week by DG&IF

Just in:

"....................We hammered the saugeyes in Rose Valley – from the mouth at the splits to 719 bridge – they are there.  Beautiful fish running 2 to 3 lbs.  Stripers looked good – normal fish in normal spots.  Got good numbers of hybrids – they were......... 6 to about 11 inches..............."

Is this the area you talk in your quote "from the mouth at the splits to 719 bridge "?

Hard to tell from those photos, but it is the southern-most arm where the lake "Splits" on the west end of the lake.

I had a buddy who used to fish tournaments out there tell me the bite died after the earthquake a couple years ago. Anyone else heard or experienced this?

The "bite"? Bass or saugaye? Looking at some of the tourney totals recently, they do OK with LMB.

I believe he was talking about LMB. I don't even know what a saugeye is? I think he just meant fishing got a lot tougher and catch numbers were way down.
