What lure might you be talking about?

Nice fish! I'm also curious about the lure.

Re: Mess'n around with some new equipment and....

Throwing soft plastic crawfish.  I've never liked jigs that imitate crawfish because they tend to get fouled by weeds...so I've been working on techniques and rigs to thrown soft plastic crawfish...got a bunch of new color patterns and they all worked....which sorta makes ya' wonder.

Also noticed that by switching to a fluorocarbon leader, I get much more aggressive hits than tying braid directly to hook/lure...didn't realize that the water is clear enough for the fish to see braid.

And just to state the obvious....lemme tell ya, getting an online account at Bass Pro is not a fiscally conservative thing to do.....
