I fished gravelly point park after hearing about all the snakehead catches hoping to find one myself. I also went with a friend to double our chances. We fished near the boat launch from 1000-1300. I had one rod out with nightcrawlers and was throwing lures with another. I threw all sorts of things but the only hits I got were one channel cat and two bluegill on the worms! My friend caught two channels, a bass, and a yellow perch all on an inline spinner! The action wasn't as hot and heavy as I had hoped but the weather cooperated and we enjoyed watching the planes come in and take off. Very neat place. Next time I hope to explore duck pond. Didn't look like there was much shore access though.

That is mostly a kayak/canoe game. I would not wade there either.

Thanks for the report!

What was the tide doing while you were there? I hear of most people having the best luck on outgoing tide that makes the water drain out of Roaches Run, creating a current towards the river.

Oh yeah I forgot that piece of information. It was outgoing, and how!
