Threw the fly for a bit and caught 3 bass and several BG's...some were nice.
This beautiful cracker was close to 9" and FAT!

Some call it a red ear sunfish....fly was a Wally World special spider, black and chartreuse with white rubber legs.

The blue gill fly bite is ON!
It is almost topwater time.
Just spent 30 minutes wailing away on 'em. Lots of hump heads. 3-4 of them took the fly (black/yellow spider), when it hit the water. The majority were waiting just under where you could see the fly.....6-10 feet from shoreline. Then as soon as the fly disappeared from my sight...hammer time.
