The Father of one of the kids on my son's hockey team is an Army guy named Mike Welsh who has served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He has been shot, blown up in his HUMVEE and thrown through the air over 100 feet, broke his back and a bunch of other stuff, and has told me a bunch of stories that I could never have imagined people went through.  He STILL wants to go back to finish the fight!  But the Army won't let him go back.  It takes a special person to serve in our armed forces like he does.  I buy him a beer every chance I get.  Thank God for the incredibly brave people like Mike Welsh (and their families) who sacrifice every day and sometimes for the rest of their lives to protect our freedom!
