Muddy Goose

Launched the yak at Kepheart and fished from about 7-10:30am.   Lots more water than when we did the float.   The big rock in the middle where we launch was just a few inches above the surface.   The rest of the creek was 6-8ft.  Not much surface current so the paddle back upstream was very easy.   The river was really moving though.

I caught two channel cats in the 20" range early on and that was it.   First one on a firetiger bitsy minnow, the other on a firetiger Bomber A.

Re: Muddy Goose

Wow!  High and dirty water.  That would be tough fishing.

Re: Muddy Goose

Fished it again Friday and Saturday.  The water level is back to about normal.  Friday I fished from shore from 6-7:30pm.  Right away I caught a small LMB and then several feisty sunfish and two average size smallies.

Today I took the yak.  Caught a few sunfish and three channel cats about 15".  Before I left I tried the same area I caught the smallies on Friday.  I was able to find two smallies at about 7".
