5.8 centered near Richmond. Shook everyone from Myrtle Beach to Cleveland. Even felt it in MA. I was on the bay and didn't feel a thing.

Re: Do fish feel earthquakes?

I was home and I thought a train was coming by....except there are no train tracks nearby.

Nothing shook off the walls.

There has been some minor damage here and there but no reported injuries.

Gridlock was the name of the game tonight though....

OK.  Just saw it on CNN International.  Looks like y'all have a hurricane on the way too.  I'll be back in time for the hurricane...........and I wanted to go fishing this weekend.  What's next.....locusts and the 7 horsemen of the apocalipse.

Re: Do fish feel earthquakes?

Broad Run Fishing Club has an outing/tournament scheduled on Sat morning.  I think the kids are each the 2nd man on a boat for the tournament.  How do you think the fishing will be the day before the hurricane moves through?  Low pressure, high winds, waves...but would you expect the fish to be biting or running for cover and not interested?

Re: Do fish feel earthquakes?

Looks like they canceled the NHBA-BRHS event. Good decision to make sure no one gets in harms way.

The path predictions for Irene have been changing and it now looks like it will not come up the bay. However, OC and the coast will be pounded. We will feel the west wall which is not as bad as the east side.

Yep, good decision.  Besides, I need Tyler's muscle to move my outdoor stuff into the garage!

Were you planning on fishing the NHBA event?

Yes...but then had a conflict so no. Then yes again but Irene showed up.

Let's hope she settles down a bit and does not intensify.....
