The CNU fishing team held a tournament on the spro pond, which is in Warsaw and is 10acres.  We had 5 teams of 2 competing.  Their were two jon boats, a carolina skiff, a team of two yakers, and then I was in my dads boat.  Myself and Ryan Ingalls fished out of my boat and had one goal, which was to beat the team of the President of the Club the guy who lived right by the pond.  On one of my first casts I caught a 4lb 15 oz bass which is my biggest bass to date.  I was so close to getting over 5lbs for the fist time!  A few casts later I casted my rod and in the middle of my cast it split in half, which I am assuming is just because of over use.  I caught three more to put in the livewell.  Then Ingalls finally caught a fish and it was a nice 3lber!  We had a limit and then I caught one more to cull out a little guy.  After that we only caught small fish.  We were not thinking our bag was gonna be good enough to win.

When we weighed in our bag was 12lbs even, which ended up winning us the tournament!  We won by 2 lbs.  We won $300 to tackle warehouse.  I also won the big bass award, which got be an extra $50 in cash! 

It was a great day of fishing as I won my first tournament ever, which is pretty cool even though it was only 5 teams.  It was interesting though fishing in hail for the first time.
