Heron and Pavilion Report - 022711

I fished four ponds today, though the other two you'll read about on another thread. The second pond I fished was Pavilion hoping to get some action on a spinner bait, shaky head, or jerkbait. No action. No fish.

I then headed over to Heron and tossed the spinnerbait some more and landed this fatty...

He didn't want to pose as he kept curling his tail away, but a solid 1.5lber.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

And for some reason, generating a frog bite amidst all those pads is a nasty chore. Perhaps flipping/pitching is the key.
