All along I have wanted a bass boat like boat that was more like a center console. So I now have that even though it is a side console. The Tracker Targa V17 is a wide boat with a deep V which is a must for me. In general, I don't like bass boats, especially the back decks 'cause it always seems you have to walk over seats. They sit too low in the water for me....just a personal thing.

And since I wanted a smaller boat, all of the center console models I say were just too small. I was used to having a lot of walking room between the gunwale and the CC...that went away with the other center consoles. Of course the 21 footer (Carolina Skiff) dd not have that problem but that boat was too basic and just not what I wanted (comfort).

The fact that I am buying it from a trusted seller was also a huge factor. If I get what I got out of the Hydra Sports in the 4 years I had her, I win big time!

Weather permitting, its maiden voyage will be Saturday.

Thanks....I know I will use it more, especially in closer waters.

As you know, there is not a perfect boat out there but I'm thankful I found this one.

The good thing is that the main deck is not carpeted, only the forward and aft decks....still a litlle of Capt. Mike's  bluecat buggers will be welcome on the boat!

Doug- the deal is as good as done. The decision was made, the paperwork will be taken care of tomorrow and I will be gettin the boat very soon.....

Almost 600 miles and 11 hours on the road and the boat is in the driveway. Had a great visit with Jim and Linda.......

That's not that bad.  I did a round trip in a day to Rhode Island to pick up a small motorcycle a few years ago.   Congrats.
