Me and Khanh met at Pohick Bay at 6 30 adn were fishing on our Kayaks by 7 00 all pumped up for some snakeheads. We threw topwater frogs mostly. He also had a mouse and a torpedo. I threw a couple casts with a senko and spinnerbait but stuck with topwater as I wanted to get a snakehead. We were in very very fishy water with lots of grass mats and lily pads. Neither of us even got a blowup from a snakehead or a bass. We got off the water at 12 00. this was my first skunk in a while and it sucked. But the nice weather made it a pretty good trip.
Not catching any snakeheads just motivated me even more to get one. I plan to get out to Dogue or Little Hunting Creek this Saturday on the yak.

After some tough fishing last evening I didn't think the prospects would be great today. Those storms really stirred things up. I had a lot of things to take care of today anyways so I stayed home.

target the times around low tide. that will probably be most productive.

we did. Low tide was also the major time.

Pohick isnt a place you want to specifically target them since it's so big and they can anywhere since most of it is a shallow flat
