Trip Report: Shenandoah

A weekend of camping in the Shenandoah National Park. Even up there it was plenty hot although evenings were fine. Got to the river for a couple hours with the fly rod on Saturday. Managed several small smallies and couple bluegills. Nothing to write home about but a nice way to spend a hot summer day. Didn't bother with the kayak. Getting IN the river and wet wading was much more comfortable.

Beautiful area that's not as far of a drive as I had thought. Gonna have to explore it more often and at different times of the year.
