Here is my friend Allan with a nice tiger. He teases me with these pics when I turn him down on an invite,
They have been doing very well this year with Muskie
I am not sure how big this one is, but 50" is not uncommon

dangit! Catching a musky is one of my goals for this year.
Thai, this is the area I was thinking about when I told you I was planning a trip out that way.

That's a true strain muskie, not a tiger. They are naturally reproducing in that area of the river pretty well from what I've read. Reports are that more and more fish are showing up further down river too and eventually to DC, like what was pictured on this board by DC fisheries.
The largest I've heard was a 46 inch fish however. No one has broken the 50 inch club, including the shocking boats, or the DNR or whoever (from what I've heard). But it could happen. The fish on the cover of Maryland Fishermen magazine last year was larger than the reported state record around 30 pounds but still well under 50 inches and that fish was released. I think I'll give them an honest try tomorrow.
