April Fools Fatty

Fished a private pond with a new friend for a couple hours before work yesterday morning. Caught 3 fish including this nice little porker. She was hanging out next to a laydown on the side of a steep point. Got her on the 5th or 6th cast with a fat free shad, wasn't really paying attention cause I thought I was pulling back a piece of branch. Nope - big, old pig stuck to my crankbait, Aprils Fools! She gave me a couple headshakes next to the boat, but was too cold and too fat to put up a good fight. Two other nice ones for me, another on the same bomber crank and one on a 3/4oz red eye shad yo-yo'd over brush in 18+ ft. Both were healthy chunks, 2-3 lbs and full of fight. My partner caught a nice one on a spinnerbait as well. Off the water by 10 and back to work with a smile on my face big_smile

Nice fish!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Re: April Fools Fatty

Seems like a lot of fish are being caught lately when the angler is not paying attention...maybe it's a new technique!

Time to go fishin' again!
