Beech and Cedar Report - 03/13/10

I took advantage of a wide open day today to head out to Ashburn and fish the lakes for a few hours. I started really slowly this morning as I chunked a spinner bait at Beech and Alder. I left Alder quickly after noticing an iridescent film coming out of one of the culverts. I passed Beech on my way to Cedar and saw Buckshot and Fishin4Food. After trying my hand at some deeper water, I moved along and started catching them in shallow water. In Cedar, I ended up with 1 nice Crappie, 1 purple Bluegill, and 12 bass.

Since I parked near Beech, I decided to see if my pattern would carry over. It did, but not to the same extent. I pulled 4 bass out of Beech and then went home.

All in all not a bad day with 18 total fish.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
