I was out there today too, hit Beech and Cedar for a bit. One small fish, the first of the year for me, on a 1/4oz redeye shad. Had some bites on a jig too but couldn't connect. Cedar had a bit of stain to it but Beech was very clear. Ended my day by breaking the tip off my new rod trying to snap grass off my jig. Checked Beaverdam this morning too, it's still 1/2 frozen. Spring needs to get here ASAP.

i like stain in the water. 12" of visibility is plenty in my book

in my eyes it aint no funk, just some 40 degree water fishing.
i tip my hat your way, because you get it done consistently
in my book, winter bites on big baits are rare, which i consider heavier than 1/8.
i see what you guys get done on "standard" gear, and am impressed. i have done it too, but get more action on the light stuff

Was that you on the other side by Ernie's point? I couldn't tell with the sun in my eyes.
Checked the extended forecast, tonight is the last night it calls for freezing temps. Spring is at our doorstep
