I used to post this event but the sad truth is....there are very few deals at this sale. I have been going for a few years and Orvis is wising up and marking original prices up to show a great discount. As an example, they had sport coats at 70% off...nice...until you looked at the original price of $450. No way that was true.

Anyway, I went yesterday morning....lots of folks buying as witnessed by the very long checkout lines. From a fishing perspective, I did not see any great values. From a clothing perspective, you can pick up some nice items at decent pricing.

This is not the great sale it once used to be.

BTW, most of the folks I talked to that went felt the same way.

If you have nothing to do...go! You might find something you want. Friday morning was crazy there with the long lines.

If it was closer I would go. I just don't want to drive all the way out there in this weather. I don't know about FFX county but Falls Church did absolutely nothing to prepare for this weather. Our roads are terrible right now.
