Coastal Conservation Association of NoVA is pleased to have Brandon White from Easton, MD as our guest speaker for the last Chapter meeting of the year.

Brandon will be discussing Light Tackle and Fly Fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.

Brandon White Biography

Career

Brandon is a Co-Founder and Chief Angler of Lateral Line, Inc, a technical-year round fishing clothing company located in Easton, MD (http://www.LateralLineCo.com). He also owns and operates a recreational angler social networking site called TidalFish.com (http://www.TidalFish.com) that has over 56,940 registered anglers. The site mainly covers saltwater and tidal water fishing along the east coast. The site has been recognized as the leading source of fishing information by books such as the Top Fishing Sites on the Internet, and magazines such as Marlin and Chesapeake Bay Magazine and by newspapers such as the Baltimore Sun and Washington Post.

From 1996 through 2001 he was the founder/President and CEO of Worldwide Angler, Inc. Worldwide Angler was recognized as the leading source of recreational fishing information, social networking and e-commerce on the Internet by USA Today, The Washington Post, and many other regional and national fishing publications.

Fishing Experience

Brandon is an accomplished light tackle and fly fishing angler and fishes his home waters of the Chesapeake Bay based out of Easton, MD. He is a frequent adventure fishing travel angler logging over sixteen weeks a year on the road beyond fishing in his home waters. He has fished from Alaska to the East Coast and states in-between in the US, most of the Bahamas, throughout Latin America, South America, and as far west as the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean.

Associations, Talks and Appearances

Brandon is a Governor appointed member for the Sport Fishing Advisory Commission in Maryland. He is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, the Mason Dixon Writers Association, served on the Board of Directors of the Coastal Conservation of Maryland, served on an Outdoor Caucus commission advising the Secretary of Natural Resources of Maryland for two years, serves on the Board of Directors of Marine Ventures Foundation. (Marine Ventures is recognized as a leading operating foundation that leverages innovative new technologies and techniques in the study of marine conservation.) He has appeared on several fishing TV shows, several fishing radio shows, writes articles occasionally for other fishing publications besides Tidal Fish, and is a featured speaker at many consumer fishing shows and fishing club meetings.
