had a good morning
caught around 30 bass
the best were a 2, a 2, and a 3.
my last fish was a 12# channel cat, that hit a 4" red senko rigged wacky.
i did well w/ sweet beavers, paca craws, and a drop shotted power worm.
i caught a monster bluegill on a 8" junebug u-tail.
very good day of fishing

i was too tired to mention that the cat was caught on 6# line, on my 9' ultralight rod
this was the greatest fight of my freshwater career.
the cat made many deep and long runs
i was really beginning to wonder if i would ever land him.
the pond has an open bank, so i was able to walk along the shore and play him.
i backed the drag way off, and was finger braking him.
that big rod was doubled for a long, long time

i went back at 11pm to try for a big bass
i was swimming a 3/8 crappie pattern jig, with a white zoom trick worm as a trailer
took a while to find a rythm.
when i cut the trailer down ti 5"., i started getting bit on a high trembling retrieve.
in 2.5 hrs i may have gotten 15 or 20, with a couple nice keepers, but no giants
night fishing is a good way to hone your jig skills.
kudos to trilene premium flouro, 12 #. excellent feel, no break offs, no re ties
