Virginia Beach Cobia Report

I went down to Va Beach Friday to fish for cobia with Capt Jared McCaskill (my cousin), his dad Macky, and Capt Mike Beane, another charter captain.  We got a late start because it was a fun trip and after moving a couple of times with one small cobia (barely 5 lbs) and a couple of clearnose skates, we locked into a pair of cobia.  Macky's cobia went 45 lbs

The one I caught went 30.  Cobia are definitely hard pulling fish....and tasty too

Great day. Well done.

I have not heard of a clearnose skate?
