i caught a 5.o on a J&P at 4:15pm
the bass are chewing the J&P on the rockpile at cedar
couldn't get bit at alder.
thanks to andy for giving me a new idea for ashburn

i started to take a pic.
i weighed the bass.
the wind was blowing and there was a full sun.
by the time i took it off the scale it's skin was already tacky.
i released it quickly.
i really try to avoid stressing big fish.
it jumped all the way out of the water with a foot to spare.
it took the jig on the drop, in the shade of the drain.
i was casting off the dam, like on the top.
it tipped from 4.15 and then settled on 5 even.
a real beauty, and pretty much luck.
