Pacemaker Fishing Forum

The next meeting of the Potomac River Smallmouth Club is on Wednesday, June 24 starting at 6:30 PM at the Vienna Fire Station on Center St in Vienna VA.

The plan for the June meeting is to have our 2nd Annual Boat Night! 

The "meeting" will be conducted outside in the parking lot and since we will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers we'll start an hour earlier than usual at 6:30pm. Members and guests (everyone is welcome, there is NO charge) will be displaying their boats, all set up and tricked out for fishing. You will be able to see the clever solutions members have devised to enhance their fishing experience. There will be kayaks (sit ontops and sit ins), pontoon boats (single and double), canoes, and hopefully a jet-boat or three. This will be a great opportunity to learn the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of water craft. 

Weather permitting we'll have our picnic at the far end of the parking lot at the Vienna Fire House. If it rains we'll still cook and eat but retreat inside. We will also have a casting competition with spinning rod and a fly rod casting demo where you can get a quick lesson and try your hand at throwing a fly. This is a relaxing and fun event you won't want to miss.
