Mid Week Report

The wind was up at launch but it was very light by the time we got to the fishing grounds. Got the skunk off in about an hour.. slooowwwww... start. But by 4PM it was crazy insane with fish flying over the rail left and right. Limited out and in before the rain started. Fun group indeed..

Re: Mid Week Report

OK... seeing different people in you pictures every day I finally figured out that you must run a charter business.  Haha.  Do you only fish for crappie?  Just curious.

Re: Mid Week Report

Capt. Mike chases the fishies all year around, all over the area....a very unique (and fun) guide.

He can explain better....

Re: Mid Week Report

from the pictures, i know he chases crappie

I've chased cats and bass with him as well, and he knows how to catch a few of them as well.

I believe he does more, and as ernie said - he can explain better smile

now it's yesterday! roll

Re: Mid Week Report

I spend my summers in Rangoon where we wear meat helmets and get whipped when we are insulant.. wait wrong answer..

I fish for crappie spider style in the spring then do a bit of shad fishing. Then change over to monster catfish trips. By mid June the I am fishing nights in the backwaters of the Potomac for topwater bass. Also I do a lot of trips out of Solomons Island for striper blues and trout on the fly and light tackle. By mid August I am also fishing the Dragon in Va on weekend executive get aways. By mid sept I am back on the Potomac fishing for monster cats.

Those are my charter trips.. But wait there is more... This year I will once again will fish the Susky for Smallies, fish for 100 lb tarpoon in VA, fish for cobia in VA, and I am planning trip to fly fish out of Boston Harbor.

Last year I fly fished for tailing reds and false albacore.

And I love to surf fish as well..I get a few trips in each year..

Strong Austin Powers "Dr. Evil" reference!

"My father would womanize and he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark."

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
