Re: What is happening with the potomac today

There were lots of ic chunks floating down below Fletcher's today and the river was a bit stained there. Downriver by the 14th St Bridge it looked good. I suspect we will have a snow/ice melt in teh next few days.

Especially when it reaches into the 70s this weekend!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

It does not look like they are predicting the levels to rise much. Maybe it will be fishable? Although it looks like it is become more stained.

Re: What is happening with the potomac today

It is stained above Key Bridge but not bad. I haven't seen what  the water temps are but the white perch may start moving in soon (whenn the daffodils come out acording to the original river rat - Carl).

I have this urge to explore more parts of the Potomac early in the spring. I know what to expect from Fletcher's but I wonder what can be caught just below the WW bridge and down by the Greenway Flats etc. I love to experiment so I wil be looking for crew members soon!
