Back in the slime

Had a charter today that showed up with 4 persons. Kinda glad the fishing was slow. Bait would have lasted three hours on a normal trip.  But we caught some fish and few big ones...

Most caught on Black salty.

8 fish all day for a total of 225 lbs on my scale.
A nice day indeed...

Re: Back in the slime

Still 8 fish all day and six different spots.. not a barn burner..

I did have an issue first thing in the AM when the Capt of the Miss Christene a tour boat left the channel to impose his large boat over my anchored boat. He yelled "You are in a navigable channel anchored and I am calling the Coast Guard right now" Turned his boat 15 feet from me and gunned the big props giving us a nice four foot wake.

I was about ten yards out of the channel but maybe he did not see it that way. In any case he was rude and showing off for his customers.

Re: Back in the slime

Regardless of where you were, he acted in an aggressive manner....that is a major no no. A month or two ago, I was ready to put the boat on the trailer and was lined up when all of the sudden the Quack boat cut in front of me. I had to make  a sharp (and fast) turn to avoid a collision. I yelled to the Captain that I had the right of way and he just laughed. I don't understand these guys at all.
