Front Royal Canoe Company

Heading over Sunday morning for a short float trip.  Anyone have any tips on fishing for smallies in the Shenadoah?  How's the water / grasses been?  Anyone ever used the Front Royal Canoe Company?  Seems like a pretty buttoned-up outfit.

I don't know anything about this company but I do know the 'doah is light on water. You may need to get out once in a while. Where are you putting in and taking out?

Re: Front Royal Canoe Company

They offer a variety of float trips . . . we're thinking about a 5 mile float that starts in the State Park.  It's supposed to be a pretty nice stretch in the upper Shenadoah.  Talked with them yesterday and they said the water level has come up a bit.  Here's the website in case you want to check it out: www.frontroyalcanoe.com/  I'll put in a report on the forum upon our return.

Re: Front Royal Canoe Company

sorry i just saw this, I was out of town all weekend

if you're back down this way, lemme know.  I've only used downriver canoe company, but most all the outfitters down this way are pretty standup outfits from what I've heard

now it's yesterday! roll
