Roadhouse Jerk

Excellent Jamaican food!!

It’s across the border at Point of Rocks MD but this place is a gem!!

The owner, Winston, is a 21 year Navy veteran and his food is off the charts.

We’ll worth a road trip.

Re: Roadhouse Jerk

Sadly, they have closed. Damn it!!

I blame plain eating folks  that don't like to discover new and tasty foods! Chain restaurants be gone!

Thankfully, I still have 6-7 of Winston's beef & chicken  patties in the freezer. Will ration them to last as long as possible.

Re: Roadhouse Jerk

You nailed it on the head ernie....plain eating folks.  In stafford, we have a huge area being developed and no kidding....it's all the chain places and not even a legit restaurant.  So far here are the brand new places that have opened or planned to open in just 3 months (wendys, starbucks, mcdonalds, chipotle, five guys, taco bell, jersey mikes, 7 eleven, wawa, etc..).  They are all fast food places and not a one is unique or has any ethnic flavors.  Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have brand new places open up like this, but can we add a little seasoning to this mix?  There might be a buccees down here too!

Re: Roadhouse Jerk

eMailed with the owner, and RHJ will return one of these day.  Just not sure when and where?

Found an Indian food place in Warrenton that's cheap for lunch and has great vin-da-loo.  Be care asking for it hot.

Also know a Latino place that sells tacos cavrone.  If only I knew how to speak Spanish .....

Wife wants to go to Chili's today ........ oh well
